Pre-season Classic…

Written by: Garrett Swier, Ken King, and Madison Peddie
Two Saturdays ago, four baseball and softball teams met for a face off in a pre-season classic. The four teams consisted of; your very own Hosford, Altha, Tolar, and Blounstown. The first game against Altha was a big win for the boys and girls teams favoring Hosford. The boys’ game ended with a score of 10 to 0 with Ken King on the mound, and the girls with a score of 20 to 2 with Madison Peddie in the circle. Next,  Blounstown and Altha battled it out, ending with a win for Blounstown. In the next game Tolar tried their hardest to defeat the Tigers, but did not succeed. After these two games took place, it was Hosford vs. Tolar. The Lady Panthers came home the victory with the ending score of 18 to 2 with Madison Peddie bringing the heat. Unfortunately, the Hosford boys lost with an ending score of 6 to 5 with Micah McCaskill on the hill of clay. Overall, win or lose, it was a great kick-off to a greatly expected season.
